The Bear Mountains

45 minutes north west of Greenwich, right on the Hudson river is Bear Mountain Park. It is a great place for hiking and climbing, you may even walk on the Appalachian Trail.

Check it out.

SoHo

The area South of Houston Street is located in south-western Manhatten. A former center of the arts, SoHo today is full of fancy cafes, excellent restaurants, shops and galeries.

Take a look.

Greenwich Point

Greenwich Point is a peninsula in the long island sound, connected to the mainland via a narrow driftway. Most attractive in the summertime is its beach, but the Point also offers nature trails, wetlands and woods.

Take a walk with us.

Mystic Seaport

Mystic Seaport is an old whaling village, which is preserved in an open air museum. During the summer months, actors in historic outfits "live" in the village to illustrate life and craftsmanship of the nineteen hundreds.

Travel back in time.

Boston

Boston is located some three and a half hours north east of Greenwich. We visited it in the Christmas season, and enjoyed a weekend without kids.
